My husband and I recently went to Thainamite on the east side of Milwaukee. We wanted to have Valentine's Day lunch before I had to go to work. I was expecting it to be busy but was pleasantly surprised to find that it was one of their slow times. We used a Lyft to get there so that we would not have to deal with the traffic.
Upon our arrival, we were met inside by a pleasant and helpful staff member and shown to our seats. Having been to Thainamite before we were familiar with the menu. We chose to have a Coke for each of us. I wanted to have the Tom Kha Chicken Soup. It is a creamy coconut soup with chicken, cabbage, and mushrooms. I also ordered the Smokey Bear Maki. The Maki has Unagi, cream cheese and cucumber and smoked topped with a spicy honey and sesame sauce. For those of you not familiar with Unagi, it is a freshwater eel often used in Japanese cooking.
My husband ordered the yellow curry. You have a choice of meat with the curry. It comes with potato, tomato, and onion in coconut milk and curry sauce.
This is a place that I would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone looking for great food. During the summers and weekends, it is the busiest. There are three locations to choose from.
Thanks for stopping. I hope to see you again for another one of my great adventures
