A Day in The Life of a Blogger

Updated: Jun 29, 2020

I think that many people get a romantic idea of what a blogger is and what they do. I want to show you a little of what my day is like.

Yesterday Kristofer and I spent the day on the Milwaukee River Walk. It as an absolutely beautiful day to takes photographs, and we wanted to take advantage of the good weather to take a walk downtown and take some photographs.

The River Walk winds its way through Milwaukee connecting three distinct neighborhoods: the Historic Third Ward, Downtown Milwaukee, and Beer line B. The Milwaukee River Walk is the result of the vision of several people. As a result of the work of the city of Milwaukee and the Milwaukee River Walk District, we are able to enjoy more than 20 blocks of the Milwaukee

Riverfront.

I just wanted to take a moment to share with you some beautiful photographs of Milwaukee and share one of our days with you. Being that I have more time in my day I can usually spend a little more time working on the blog and our social media sites creating for you the beautiful photos that you see.

On the days that I am out taking photos, I am usually awake at or 7 am. I usually just have a cup of coffee at home and then take a travel cup with me to the location that I am going to shoot at. If I am taking photos like the ones below or moving fashions shots I do not use a tripod, but if I am taking fashion shots where I am standing still I will take a tripod.

While there is a built-in camera on my phone I have chosen to use a camera app called HD Camera Pro 2019. This allows me to get better shots. It has timer settings and many other features that I find useful to me.

Once I am at home again I edit the photos using an app on my phone called Photo Editor Pro. This app makes it easy for me to edit my photos without having to use Photoshop. Once the photos are edited I then post them on Instagram with the appropriate hashtags and captions. These photos are posted at the most advantageous times to get the most exposure. Once that is done then I am able to download the edited photos to my laptop.

Don't get me wrong it's not all work. We very much enjoy what we do. We are learning a great deal about Milwaukee and everything that it has to offer. Come check out our blog posts about the great places to eat and see. Ciao!
