My Skincare Routine: Whats inside?

Updated: Jun 22, 2020

Today I am excited to be able to show you some skincare products that I am currently using. I have tried a few different types of skin care products including face masks, facial cleansers, exfoliants, and anything else you can think of.

Let me show you a few products that have worked for me and I will let you decide what is best for you.

The world of skincare was a bit confusing for me at first, but I was able to do a little from my spouse and the wonderful folks at Ulta Beauty I was able to navigate it pretty well.

I have a simple routine that I do every morning which takes about 10 minutes tops.

Here is my skincare routine:

1. EXFOLIATE and CLEANSE

I use a Clarisonic facial brush with a dab of Clean & Clear exfoliating scrub or the Honey and Oat gentle daily cleanser from Michael Todd Beauty. I normally do this while I am showering. This achieves two things.

One, it clears away the dead skin cells which allow better absorption of any skincare products that I am going to apply.

Secondly, it softens facial hair and makes it easier to get a better shave. I use an exfoliant in the morning to wake up my skin.

You should use an exfoliant 2 to 3 times a week otherwise use the gentle daily cleanser. I have found that using an exfoliant too often dries my skin out.

I cleanse my face first thing when I wake up and before I go to bed.

2. TONER

After you cleanse your skin you should apply some toner. Toner helps to remove excess dirt that may be in your pores and it helps to correct the pH balance of your skin.

3. Lotion

Once I am done with that I put on some lotion on my face to moisturize it. I use a moisturizer with sunscreen from Neutrogena.

If you do not like the feel of sunscreen, but want to protect your skin I highly recommend this product.

I have used the product and it moisturizes my skin and has 35SPF sunscreen without the greasy feel of sunscreen.

Once I have done all that I am ready to step out the door and start my day
