Shannon Novy an instructor from Edessa taught us about fabrics. We learned about the different types of fabric, construction, and usages for each fabric. We were shown an example of different types of fabrics and quizzed on the name, usage, and whether it was woven or knit. I must admit that my knowledge of fabrics was limited, but after that class, I gained more knowledge and appreciation.
I had a great time getting to know local designers in Milwaukee and getting to know more about textiles. I want to thank Lynne Dixon-Speller for inviting me to the class and Kelly Mutsch and Shannon Kovy for taking time out of their schedules to teach us.
